The first Senior Stakeholder event for Ofgem’s Switching Programme was held on 23 November 2015 and chaired by Dermot Nolan and the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change. The group’s role is to drive progress and maintain momentum and commitment for the reforms at a senior level. Attendees were executive-level or equivalent from energy supply companies, Energy UK, Cornwall Energy, ICoSS, the Energy Networks Association, the Data Communications Company (DCC), Citizens’ Advice and Which?
At the meeting attendees committed to support the programme, and in particular:
Attend six-monthly meetings of the senior stakeholder group.
Nominate a senior accountable person in each supplier organisation who will be accountable for delivering the switching reforms.
Provide resources for the programme’s industry workgroups.
More detail on these is given in our Significant Code Review launch statement. For smaller suppliers, we would like to know how you could be represented in order to contribute to the programme.
