We have issued this guidance to NESO on 8 November 2024 under:
- Part D of Condition G1 (Business Plan) of the Electricity System Operator Licence
- Part D of Condition G1 (Business Plan) of the Gas System Planner Licence
About this guidance
NESO must submit a Business Plan for its third business plan cycle (BP3). BP3 starts on 1 April 2025 and ends on 31 March 2026.
The guidance outlines:
- key dates for submission and determinations of the Business Plan
- an overview of the Business Plan process
- what should be included in the Business Plan
- how long the business plan cycle is
- how we will assess the Business Plan and create a plan determination
- the processes for engagement with stakeholders, including any consultations
