Ofgem E-Serve, the delivery arm of the energy regulator, has held a consultation on plans to publish a supplier performance report (SPR).
The consultation has now closed and we have published our response.
We have decided that we will publish the supplier performance report.
The SPR scores energy companies’ non-compliance incidents across the seven E-Serve administered schemes that place direct obligations on them.
The schemes covered by the proposed report comprise: the Renewables Obligation, Feed-in Tariffs, Offtaker of Last Resort, Energy Company Obligation, Warm Home Discount, Government Electricity Rebate, and Fuel Mix Disclosure.
Generally suppliers meet their overall obligations during scheme compliance periods, but some struggle with individual elements of the schemes such as meeting deadlines and submitting accurate data.
By publishing the SPR, Ofgem E-Serve’s intention is to increase accountability around energy companies’ performance on the schemes and help them improve their compliance, improve transparency for consumers, and minimise costs to consumers of delivering schemes.
