This page contains the results of the 2021 Annual Iteration Process (AIP) for the Electricity Distribution (ED1) licensees under the RIIO-ED1 network price control.

The AIP updates Base Revenues across the ED1 price control for the next regulatory year (2022/23).

Charge Restriction Condition 4B provides for the Authority to do the following by 30 November prior to each Regulatory Year:

  1. carry out the Annual Iteration Process for the ED1 Price Control Financial Model; and
  2. give licensees at least 14 days’ notice before directing the value for the term MODt that is to be used by the licensee for the purpose of ascertaining the value of the term BRt.

The Authority gave the ED1 licensees notice of the value of MODt and the PCFM Variable Values used to calculate them MODt value on 05 November 2021.

The Authority received no representations.

The reason for and effect of this publication is to revise the PCFM Variable Values to re-calculate the values for the term MODt.

The values directed by the Authority are shown within the ED1 AIP Directions and within the ED1 Price Control Financial Model published on this page.

Cost of debt indexation model

In the RIIO-ED1 Price Control, the Corporate Debt Expenditure (CDE) variable value is updated on an annual basis with reference to a trailing average index of debt costs. The model used to calculate the CDE values that have been used for the 2021 Annual Iteration Process for the ED1 Price Control Financial Model, is published on this page.
