Some stakeholders have been telling us that getting connected to the electricity distribution network can take too long. This can limit the opportunities for economic growth and new sources of renewable energy. Earlier this year we explained the process of getting a new electricity connection and we consulted on different and, in some instances, new ways of making it easier to connect.
This paper summarises the responses we received and explains how we now intend to take this work forward to improve the connections process.
