Undertaking proportionate and robust evaluations will help to build a stronger evidence base for future policy interventions and helps us better assess whether we are delivering on our objectives and complying with our statutory duties.
In October 2024 we published a Call for Input on the design of an evaluation strategy for Ofgem. This Decision sets out our final version of Ofgem’s Evaluation Strategy.
Within this document we outline our rationale for doing so, the main elements of our approach, including how we will select interventions to evaluate and provide two-case studies.
