Our COP26 events series has now ended. You can still catch up on all the perspectives, insights and case studies we brought together from across GB and internationally on our COP26 engagement hub.
This November, the UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26), an event of global significance for coordinated action on climate change.
Ofgem is determined not just to do everything we can to support a carbon-neutral future in the UK, but to use the momentum of COP26 to accelerate greener, fairer energy globally through collaboration on learnings and best practice.
Throughout the conference, we’ll be broadcasting live each day with a consumer and energy focus across the COP26 Presidency Programme. We’ll be showcasing projects, hosting engaging debates and discussions, and bringing together leaders and change-makers in government, international regulation, consumer organisations and the energy sector on actions, learning and considerations as we all look to go further and faster to curb climate change.
On top of this, we’re running a half-day conference for international regulators and GB energy stakeholders on ‘Accelerating the Energy Transition’. Taking place on 3 November, Ofgem, International Energy Agency (IEA), International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and a number of energy market regulators from around the world, will discuss international collaboration and share best practice to help deliver a rapid and efficient decarbonisation of the energy sector.
You can find general information on the COP26 Presidency Programme on the official COP26 website.
