Ofgem has launched TR9 to identify a suitable bidder to whom an offshore transmission licence will be granted. There is one qualifying project in TR9 - Seagreen Phase 1.
This project has met the necessary qualifying requirements and tender entry conditions (in accordance with the Electricity Regulations 2015).
This generic Preliminary Information Memorandum outlines an opportunity for investors to acquire electricity transmission assets under the regulatory regime governing the ownership and operation of offshore electricity transmission. It also details the process that we will follow in conducting the tender exercise.
