NOTICE UNDER SECTION 6A(5) OF THE ELECTRICITY ACT 1989 OF THE GRANT OF AN ELECTRICITY INTERCONNECTOR LICENCE
Pursuant to section 6A(5) of the Electricity Act 1989 (“the Act”), the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (“the Authority”) hereby gives notice that on 12 November 2014, an electricity interconnector licence was granted under section 6(1)(e) of the Act to National Grid Viking Link Limited (company number 09075537) whose registered office is situated at 1-3 Strand, London, WC2N 5EH, United Kingdom authorising it to participate in the operation of the Viking Link interconnector, an electricity interconnector between Great Britain (Bicker Fen) and Denmark (Revsing).

Construction of the interconnector is subject to separate planning processes including the obtaining of any consents or permits required from relevant authorities, including the relevant planning authority.
