Ofgem has decided to close, by way of alternative action, its investigation into Southern Electric Power Distribution Plc’s (SEPD) compliance with Standard Licence Conditions (“SLC”) 10.2, 10.3, 10.4, 10.5 (Priority Services Register), 10AA.2, 10AA.3, 10AA.4(a), 10AA.4(b)(i), 10AA.4(d)(ii) and 10AA.5 (Treating Customers Fairly) and SLC30.1 (Availability of Resources) of its Electricity Distribution Licence.
SEPD is the electricity distribution network operator for Central Southern England.
The decision was made as a consequence of SEPD’s offer to make improvements to its vulnerable customer processes. In addition, SEPD will make voluntary donations to local charities - £75,000 to Citizens Advice Portsmouth and £75,000 to Citizens Advice Hampshire.
This agreement, coupled with the actions taken by SEPD to improve the customer journey for its vulnerable consumers, now concludes this matter.
