The report summarises domestic suppliers’ performance in 2014 on debt, disconnection, prepayment meters and services for consumers in vulnerable situations.
This Social Obligations data is an important tool for Ofgem, suppliers, consumer organisations, government and other stakeholders concerned with consumer protection. We use this data to inform our work protecting the interests of energy consumers, especially those in vulnerable situations, as set out in our Consumer Vulnerability Strategy. We do this by monitoring supplier practices, identifying good practice and areas for improvement, evaluating the effectiveness of our policies, and ensuring compliance with our rules.
