Design Advisory Board For Market-Wide Half-Hourly Settlement

The Design Advisory Board (DAB) provides strategic advice to Ofgem on the Target Operating Model (TOM), to deliver Market-wide half-hourly settlement. The DAB also provides expert advice on areas of the project outside the TOM including the business case and access to data for settlement purposes. DAB members have expertise in the energy industry, energy regulation and policy (GB and international), consumer issues and innovation.
Ofgem chairs the group, which meets as required.
DAB responsibilities
The DAB is responsible for:
- Providing a strategic assessment of whether the TOM development recommendations developed by the G and CCDG help to achieve the objectives of Market-wide Half-hourly Settlement;
- Reviewing the progress of the TOM development and providing guidance on design issues raised; and
- Providing expert advice to Ofgem’s Senior Responsible Owner (SRO).
The actions of the group are underpinned by the DAB terms of reference.
