The Gas and Electricity Markets Authority is issuing the decision after reviewing the amended Article 18 proposal submitted by National Grid Electricity System Operator Ltd on 04 April 2019 in accordance with Article 18 of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/2195 establishing a guideline on electricity balancing. We have concluded the current proposal cannot be approved in its current form and in accordance with Article 6(1) of the EBGL, the relevant TSOs must make the necessary amendments and re-submit an amended proposal to us within two months of this decision.
