Switching Programme Design Authority
The Switching Programme Design Authority
The Design Authority (DA) owns the design baseline for the Switching Programme. It made decisions on the design of the new switching arrangements that, in total, formulate the design baseline. The DA consists of senior representatives in Ofgem from all of the policy areas that are affected by the Switching Programme.
The DA consulted on the design baseline for the programme towards the end of the blueprint phase.
Responsibilities
The Design Authority was responsible for:
- Assessing proposals from the working groups
- Approving components of the design as the blueprint phase of the programme progresses
- Agreeing each stage of the design baseline.
The actions of the group are underpinned by the DA Terms of Reference, which includes a list of members.
For full details of decisions made by the Design Authority, see our Decision log.
