The RHI has a limited budget which is set out on the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) website. Given the limited budget available and the potentially high volume of extension applications submitted, it is important that controls are in place to manage available budget in a responsive and transparent way. As such there is a budget control in place for extension applications.
We publish information to assist applicants that have applied or are thinking about applying for an extension application on the NDRHI scheme. The table below displays the status of the budget control.
For information about Extension Application, see our Guide to Extension application.
Please note that the information in the table below is not a ‘live’ table; it is a point in time data extract in relation to the Non-TG Extension Application portfolio.
Due to the nature of the Non-TG Extension Application portfolio, applications are constantly being submitted and removed from the queue; therefore, the headroom available will change accordingly. We aim to update the table on weekly basis on a Friday. It will therefore be representative of the portfolio up to midnight on the previous day.
The figures in the table below are for information only, and should not be used for the purpose of making commercial decisions.
In relation to “all other non-TG eligible technologies”, there are 27 applications being held in the budget queue
Applications received after the budget cap was reached will be held in a queue (if properly made and if eligibility criteria are satisfied), and may be allocated funding if additional budget becomes available.
