This report by DNV-GL examines the regulation of electricity storage in three international locations: Ontario, Germany and PJM (PJM stands for the Pennsylvania, Jersey, Maryland Power Pool. It is an electricity control area in the United States). It considers the drivers for the deployment of storage in these locations and also the barriers.

The report was commissioned by us earlier this year to assist with our work on storage, which is part of our wider Flexibility project. The report represents the views of DNV-GL and not necessarily those of Ofgem.
