We ran a digital trial of the ‘Check Your Energy Deal’ service in autumn 2017, inviting eligible customers from within five postcode areas in Northampton, working with one of the large energy suppliers.
The service gave participants in the trial a trusted, impartial view of the cost of their current energy deal and showed a small number of cheaper, personalised deals.
Here we report on early findings from the trial and results from research with trial participants to understand why they did or did not take action.
