Following the Integrated Transmission Planning and Regulation (ITPR) project final conclusions, published in March this year, we have continued the development of the regime for extending the use of competition in onshore transmission.
We are consulting on arrangements for competitive tenders in onshore transmission, including:

what types of project will be tendered and how we will select them;

how the tender process will work at a high level;

the basic revenue and incentives package for competitively appointed transmission owners; and

principles for who will be able to compete.
