Ofgem's terms and conditions of employment

Probation

Your appointment will be subject to satisfactorily completing a six month probation period.

Hours

You are expected to work a five day, 36 hour, working week exclusive of lunch breaks in London, 37 hours in Glasgow. Flexible working hours and part-time work are available, usually in the form of reduced working hours/days per week. We encourage staff to have a sensible work/life balance, of mutual benefit to the individual and Ofgem. Ofgem Senior Civil Servants’ (SCS) are required to work a 37 hour week (exclusive of lunch breaks) irrespective of location.

Mobility

Roles are based in London (Canary Wharf) or Glasgow city centre – please check the individual job advertisement for exact location. All roles may require some form of travel.

Smoking

We operate a no smoking policy in the workplace.
